Interior decoration trends for casinos have considerably changed across the globe. Be it the Binion’s or the casino that holds WSOP at Las Vegas, or one at any other part of the world, designs have drastically altered.

Earlier, a lot of attention was given to loud graphics, jarring colors and sharp lighting, but now the focus has shifted. Leaving aside the theme based sections where we can still find traces of the earlier design patterns as per the respective themes, most of the areas illustrate far more subtle designs. Now, clustering of color schemes is a strict no-no.

Monochromatic or tone-on-tone decorating color schemes are pretty much prevalent. Light walls, bleached floor boards, soft backlighting and white tables and chairs are in vogue. An eye for detail is exhibited in the carefully crafted and etched out designs on the walls, false ceilings and on the huge pillars that support the gigantic structures of the casinos.

The effect is rich, subtle and soothing for the eyes. Shades of pastel colors are being extensively used across various sections of the Hotel and Casinos to give simple, sophisticated and, yet, appealing color schemes.

The elements are more or less based on geometric designs with precious stones, crystals etc., but a conscious effort has been made to keep up the colors well in harmony with the overall look and feel of the casinos. Interestingly, skilful backlighting and ‘Shadow shapes’ painted on walls and ceiling create a three dimensional visage to the overall ambience.

You may call it the ‘Green revolution,’ but green plants and flowers are also being made a quintessential part of the casinos too. At a number of places, you may spot mammoth sized flower vases, bonsai trees or bunch of flowers in and around the casinos. But, whatever it is, it seems to be a pleasant change.
